Student able to pay tuition fees by playing poker game

A student of Deer Lake has turned his participation in the poker championship an earning to pay his fees of Bachelors of Science degree at Memorial College. Scott Janes, a 19 years old student has participated in the North American College Poker Championships which was an online tournament for college students. Janes managed to be in the 59 final players and came to top position and earned enough to pay for his tuition next year and also paid an expense-paid seat on the European poker tour.

Janes also expect to find out what event he will be for once the schedule for the final European tour is announced in the month of June. He said that the first prize for the event actually starts at $750,000 and roofs at almost around $4 million. He also added that the he don’t know what to expect as he is playing against a guy he watches on TV. Though Janes had been playing poker from a long time and he adds that the people against whom he is playing are the people who he used to admire, so he don’t have any expectations to play outstanding.
