Poker’s Chance Classification with Formula by a Dutch Professor

Dutch Professor Ben van der Genugten, a skilled mathematical statistics, confronted last Friday, to the Dutch Supreme Court’s classification of poker as a game of chance, he has also mentioned that how a formula can co-developed and it is used by the courts pegs poker at a higher skill level than most fantasy sports, which the court rules are a game of skill. Due to this contradiction the Professor is calling for the court to repeal the classification of poker as a game of chance.

The Professor was intensely involved in the Dutch Betting & Gaming Act, and the formula has already been used in court to decide the classification of fantasy sports games, reports Gaming Intelligence Group in contrary it has not been applied on poker.

THE FORMULA
With Peter Borm, he developed a formula which set up a skill value or skill ratio, the relation between the chance effect and the learning effect of a game. The higher the skill value, the smaller the role of chance.
