United States Poker Championship’s Official payouts

The main event of United States Poker Championship’s $10,000 started on Sunday afternoon, last year 164 players were fascinated towards this event but this year only 52 players turned out to play. ESPN has suspended their contract, due to the most frequently cited issue, although the recent developments in the financial markets and high gas prices have also contributed to the low turnout.

Poker’s Chance Classification with Formula by a Dutch Professor

Dutch Professor Ben van der Genugten, a skilled mathematical statistics, confronted last Friday, to the Dutch Supreme Court’s classification of poker as a game of chance, he has also mentioned that how a formula can co-developed and it is used by the courts pegs poker at a higher skill level than most fantasy sports, which the court rules are a game of skill. Due to this contradiction the Professor is calling for the court to repeal the classification of poker as a game of chance.

Norway Government proposed ban on online gambling

To ban the payment handling online poker and internet gambling business, the Norwegian Government has continued to press forward with legislation, using UIGEA-style. A Gambling Compliance reported that recently the government has submitted the proposed ban for online poker internet gambling to parliamentary vote.
