Mr. Anurag Dikshit, the founder of the Party Gaming has acknowledged that he had violated the laws under the Wire Act of 1961. He has committed to the United States Federal authorities to pay $300. Online Poker has specifically announced his name in this case.

Generally the Wire Act was only applied on the sporting events played on the online wagering system. Although, this time Mr. Dixit’s name has been implicated in Poker games. He has been charged for being unlawfully busy in the betting business and gambling, by using wire communication facility intentionally for interstate and foreign commerce bets communication and on other sports betting events.

During 1998 to 2006, he was involved in building software for Party Gaming’s platform. He also acted as the main shareholder in the company, since last seven years.
