Norway Government proposed ban on online gambling

To ban the payment handling online poker and internet gambling business, the Norwegian Government has continued to press forward with legislation, using UIGEA-style. A Gambling Compliance reported that recently the government has submitted the proposed ban for online poker internet gambling to parliamentary vote.

Release of such government law is the matter to be anxious for many more online poker rooms which have already attracted widespread concern, pro and con of online gambling. It has predicted by a senior legal advisor of Norway that the proposed US-style UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) ban will end up in the courts of the European Court of Justice, should it be approved by parliament.
