Jesper Hougaard made a history by winning a gold bracelet on WSOP
September 24th, 2008Last night, a 24-year-old professional poker player, Jesper Hougaard, created a history by winning a gold bracelet on WSOP Gold Bracelet Event: 56. This was his second WSOP gold bracelet of the year, with a win in the ₤1,500 No-Limit Hold’em event.
He is the first player who won WSOP gold bracelets on both sides of the Atlantic. This summer, he won the WSOP title in Event 38, $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em in Las Vegas, London. A Danish player victory means all four WSOPE tournament has won by European.
There is also two gold bracelets has won by pro John Phan in 2008 both at the 39th WSOP in Las Vegas. He has also collected the first prize money of ₤144,218, which is equivalent to about $264,019.
