The Coast to Coast Championships is the first event in the World Poker Tour Canada which will b e presented by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. This event will take place in the resort named River Rock Casino in Richmond, British Columbia.

It is an assigned tour for Canada and is it is the place which has been seeing and experiencing the growth of poker which was never seen before. Also it has been a home for some of the best poker players.

The WPT founder, president and chief executive officer, Steve Lipscomb, said that it is a good place for Poker as it has the ability to produce some of the top poker players and it is the right time to focus on a tour in the country.

The tournament is supposed to be started from 5^th May, 2008 and it is supposed to be end on May 13^th, 2008, which will have various options like bounty tournament, super satellite and 3000 dollar CDN event where players can have a good play against some marked players of the WPT season 4 like the player of the year of that season Brad Booth, Gavin Smith and Jody Trainer who was the Canadian Poker Tour player of the year.

The final play or table of the Coast to Coast Poker Championships will be on 11^th May, 2008 and it will be televised on the later date in Canada. Kerna James who is the Canadian Poker player together with Jim Van Horne who is the sports announcer will be the commentator of the event.
