Distribution of WSOP event by ESPN

2 July 2008, Las Vegas-The WSOP has broadened its reach globally. The commissioner of WSOP Jeffrey Pollack declared that now the WSOP would extend its reach from conducting four events from three.

Now the eight hours coverage in USA is going to be broadcasted in the ESPN and the tournament will be distributed worldwide.

The Owner and operator of the WSOP, Harrah’s Entertainment will give the non-ESPN market the chance to cover this event.

Pollack said to the press conference that- “We’re excited to have ESPN bring the World Series of Poker Europe to 90 million U.S. viewers and 43 million in Latin America and beyond”. He also added- “Last year the first-ever World Series of Poker Europe was a smashing hit and we’re thrilled that ESPN is going to be able to allow poker fans from all over the world the chance to see what we think will be an even bigger hit this year.”
The London Clubs international will be hosting the series, which is going to start from 19th September and finishes on 2nd October. In the schedule of this event a 1500 GBP No-Limit Holdem Day has been included along with 4th bracelet event.

Pollack said that they have raised the made the schedule more attractive to provide a better experience to the players.
